Benetti Yachts launches first Delfino 93' in SeaNet fractional ownership programme

On 18 April 2012 Benetti Yachts launched the fourth model in its Delfino 93’ series, the entry yacht of the Benetti class range. The launching ceremony at the shipyard’s Viareggio facility was also an important day for fractional ownership company SeaNet, as the launch was the first since SeaNet announced its programme which offers shares in new models in the Delfino 93’ series.

The launching ceremony of the 28.5m motoryacht, named Azul, began in the customary way with the breaking of the bottle on the hull, following which the yacht was lowered into the water, a feat witnessed by her owner, technical personnel, workers, and all Benetti Yachts staff who oversaw the yacht’s outfitting and construction over the past months.

SeaNet announced its fractional ownership programme in Benetti Delfino 93’ yachts at last year’s Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, at which time SeaNet President and CEO Michael Costa said, “Today, affluent people are more conscious than ever when it comes to their recreational dollars. A prospective SeaNet client loves the idea of owning a yacht and enjoying time on the water with family and friends but can’t justify all the expenses and effort involved with traditional yacht ownership for the amount of time they can realistically enjoy they boat.”




At last month’s launch of the first yacht in this programme, Costa said: “This is a great day for SeaNet, as our first International Program clients now can see their dream become reality. [The yacht’s] looks, engineering and quality have all exceeded our expectations. After Benetti has completed Azul’s final fitting-out we look forward to watching her make her Mediterranean season debut at high-profile events like the Cannes Film Festival and the Monaco Grand Prix in May.”

Azul is scheduled to spend the summer of 2012 in the Mediterranean, after which she will move to the Caribbean for the winter season.

2013 is set to see the delivery of SeaNet’s second Delfino 93’, a number which is expected to jump to four in the coming years.
