Benetti has announced a flurry of activity in Q1 of 2015 from its yard in Livorno with the launch of 50m M/Y Vica, FB 264 and FB267 M/Y Surpina following the sale of the seventh Classic Supreme 132 earlier in the month.
Earlier this month, Benetti also announced the company is working on 19 yachts, all to be delivered this year, including seven custom projects of 50m and larger and 12 Class semi-customs vessels.
Fifty-metre M/Y Vica is the first Benetti to be built with hybrid technology, which includes a fibreglass hull and aluminium superstructure. The exterior features large full-height windows and three removable panels. The first panel is astern and on the side for hauling in and launching the tender; the second is at the swimming platform; and the third is at the lower deck enabling the lobby to be opened up. The Benetti interior includes four guest cabins on the lower deck and owner suite towards the bow on the main deck.
FB264, the 63.5m steel and aluminium yacht will be for private use. The FM – Architettura d’Interni interior, is made up of small intimate spaces with the complexity comes with the workmanship on the finer details such as the metal inlays, transparent glass drawers and other elements. She has a maximum speed of 15 knots.
M/Y Surpina, the 56m features external spaces on the upper and main decks which are glazed with large windows and hide the main deck living area and upper deck gym, which is adjacent to the owner’s suite. The interiors by in house designer, Mauro Izzo are classically Italian, and include seven guest cabins. In particular, the yacht's interior features elm root paneling with mahogany, walnut and rosewood detailing accompanied by the period furniture, which has been requested by the owner. She will be delivered later this month.
Benetti is also looking to begin production of 63m on spec, which is hoped will owe to those clients with short delivery times who are looking for a larger yacht.
