Aqua Star Scooters launch two-man underwater scooter
Aqua Star Scooters has developed the AS2 for two people to dive underwater. It follows on from the success of the single man AS1 model scooter.

The diving helmet is integrated into the scooter’s frame and is supplied with air from tanks at the front of the scooter that provide up to 70 minutes of oxygen. Divers are not limited to staying on the scooter and can leave the vessel at any time to explore the surrounding area. The AS2 can reach speeds of up to 3.1mph powered by two electric motors, one for forward movement and another for vertical travel. The motors are run by a rechargeable battery that lasts up to 2.5 hours, and are environmentally sound. The scooter is steered with handlebars, similar to that of a motorbike, and push batons that control the speed and depth – which is up to 12m.
