Amels announces sale of 74m superyacht at MYS

The shipyard has made the sale hours before the start of the Monaco Yacht Show…

In the hours leading up to the Monaco Yacht Show, Dutch superyacht builder Amels has announced the sale of a new 74m superyacht from the shipyard’s successful Limited Editions range. Designed by Tim Heywood, the new superyacht is an Amels 242 unit, which has been built by the shipyard three times already.

“This yacht will once again show a different character to any of our previous Limited Editions deliveries,” says Rutger Dolk, part of the Amels commercial team. “The ability to adapt the proven platform to the client’s wishes is why our Limited Editions approach is working so well. The extremely comfortable and quiet platform with a renowned level of quality and fast delivery creates an attractive proposition.”

So far this year, Amels has seen the completion of three superyachts and plans to deliver one more vessel, the 62m M/Y Sea & Us, which would bring its 2018 delivery figures up to four, double what was delivered in 2017.

More than ten years after the series was created by Amels in collaboration with designer Tim Heywood, the series is proving to be extremely successful and is recognised as one of the best-selling semi-custom superyachts in the market.
