Camper & Nicholsons’ Adam-Michael Papadakis has sold M/Y RM Elegant, representing the buyer and the seller in an in-house deal. She is currently based in Athens and had a final asking price of $29 million.

The 72.4m motoryacht was built by Greek shipyard Lamda Nafs to a design by Lally Poulias. She was delivered in 2005 and underwent an extensive multi-million dollar refit in 2014 to bring her up to condition for re-sale.

The most enticing aspect of her design – formulating the basis for her original design brief – is the versatility and ensuing success that she offers as a charter platform. She is able to sleep 30 guests throughout 15 distinctive staterooms and has capacity to entertain parties of up to 200, with 31 crew members on board. This is almost double what the average 70m–75m motoryacht (16 guests) can offer – from the 49 other yachts on the water that can accommodate over 30 guests, the average LOA is 87.4m, with 15 of the builds being over 100m.

The fantastic outdoor spaces, which include a 260m² sun deck, have great al fresco dining areas, ample seating arrangements and a 12-person Jacuzzi. Additionally, the yacht has a movie theatre, a fully equipped gym, sauna, beauty salon, massage facilities and an abundance of water toys for guests.

RM Elegant is the third largest re-sale of the year by LOA, behind Fraser Yachts’ sale of part-built 77m Project U77 and Peter Insull’s Yacht Marketing’s sale of Peene-Werft’s Leander G, both of which were sold in February.
