Evo Yachts unveils new custom superyacht tender

But, the shipyard has decided that the Evo T2 will enter series production for a new range instead…

Italian tender manufacturer, Evo Yachts, has unveiled its new superyacht tender, Evo T2, designed by Valerio Rivellini, who was selected by the owner of a new 46m Sanlorenzo superyacht. At seven-metres, the new tender has been described by the shipyard as a ‘proper day cruiser’ having been designed with functionality, amenities and performance as core components.

Originally intended as a one-off project, Evo Yachts has decided that the Evo T2 will instead enter series production for a new range of day boats and superyacht tenders.

“When Valerio Rivellini presented us the idea of a custom tender, we immediately accepted this new challenge,” said Evo Yachts brand owners Alfredo and Rosario Mercuri. “Seeing the new Evo T2 in the water today, we can’t help but be satisfied with our decision. We are absolutely clear about our intention to continue production of this model, which opens up a new market segment for us and extends our range.”

From the aesthetical perspective, the new superyacht tender is minimalistic with a series of opulent additions, such as the teak deck and steel fridge located in the cockpit. However, this isn’t just an aesthetically focused project, having been supplied with a number of impressive amenities which makes the tender rather impressive.

In order to make manning the tender simple, the steering console can be electrically raised and lowered, meaning that the Evo T2 has a height of just 1.45m when the console is lowered, which also benefits the space the tender requires in the yacht’s garage. Furthermore, the tender has been fitted with a battery charger, an engine battery, a services battery, a 12-24-volt converter, a quay cable, ?predisposition for housing and the charge of two Seabobs, table for eight people, ?an electric winch, a towing hook for water skiing and a hydraulic sea ladder.

Furthermore, all of the functions on board the tender can be controlled both from the elegant touch screen control panel on the driving console as well as from a smartphone.

"Right from the outset, the owner had very clear ideas: he wanted something luxurious, elegant and high performance, all at the same time.”

“Right from the outset, the owner had very clear ideas: he wanted something luxurious, elegant and high performance, all at the same time,” commented designer Valerio Rivellini. “Working with the owner’s manager Tonino Cappiello, we analysed the products available on the market and decided the best way forward was to design a custom tender. We successfully satisfied all the owner’s needs by building a product that embodies the Evo Yachts spirit in terms of aesthetics and functionality. I’m proud of the end result of this synergy with an outstanding shipyard.”

All onboard The T2’s 300 hp inboard engine coupled with a hydro jet transmission enables the tender to cruise at 28 knots and a top speed of 36 knots.
