Our company, has been operating in the Surmene Çamburnu shipyards district in Trabzon, where boat building based on BC centuries, in Black sea .

Activities of the company was started in 1937 by Rasim BASARAN. By building hundreds of wooden boats in various sizes up to 22 meters, our shipyard has become a reputable name known in this sector. After 1975, as required by the changing and evolving market conditions and technology have led us to built steel ships. Between 1975 -1990, , under the name of Yeniay Shipbuilding Industry and with the partnership of the Basaran Shipyard, over 80 steel hull vessels have been built in Yeniay district.

Since 1990, Basaran Shipyard has been represented jointly by Rifki Basaran, Hakan Basaran and Zafer Basaran. Since 2002, with the second company under the name of BASARAN SHIP INDUSTRY AND TRADE LTD.our company has increased its efficiency and its production capacity.

Basaran Shipyard is now building the 97 th. vessel as a "Research Vessel Type-Diving Support" for a Denmark firm in their 22th year in sector. From 1990 to 2012, our company has finished more than 50 vessels' alteration and modification works, at least 200 vessels' maintenance and repair works, more than 250 main engine assembly works and in their lathe workshop, more than 100 new-built vessels's shaft-sleeve works. Our shipyard have 13.000 m2 area totaly and have 1.500 m2 closed working area. In our company, all kinds of fishing vessels, tugs, ferries, passanger vessel type catamarans, yachts, mega- yachts and special purpose vessels can be built, modified, maintained and repaired any desired style and features.
