How did you hear about Sealogical?
I knew that Sealogical provided the yacht management platform to the whole of the Y.CO fleet, and they are very happy with it.
What made you decide to use the product?
I decided to use Sealogical because I needed a tool to manage all of the maintenance work, crew and Safety Management System (SMS) for M/Y Heavenly Daze. It was about time that we moved to a digital platform, and having all of our certificates and important information online means that all of our key stakeholders can access them at any time from anywhere in the world.
I chose Sealogical over other systems because they are built by ex-crew and the site is intuitive and easy to use. It saves a lot of my time.
How easy was set-up?
Sealogical is very easy to use. It requires a little bit of leg work at the initial sign-up process because you need to upload all of your documentation and information – though if you ask them nicely I know they’ll do it for you! You only need to do it once, though, and it pays off eventually. There isn't anything to install for Sealogical – it's all online.
How easy is it to use the product?
Sealogical is a very easy system to use. It's straightforward with no nonsense. And the support team is always at hand in case something goes wrong or you need help with a particular issue.
Do you have any recommendations for changes to the product?
Sealogical is pretty seamless. I would, however, like to see an inventory section. Having said that, I think they're actually working on this option now.
Would you use the product again on another boat and would you recommend it to my colleagues?
I would definitely recommend Sealogical to others in the industry. My colleagues are all currently using it, but for captains looking for a system that is comprehensive, simple and hassle-free then Sealogical would be perfect for them.
Would you consider it good value for money?
The 150 euros per-month subscription is affordable and cheaper than some of the other systems out there. And for what you're getting with Sealogical, it's a bargain. When you think about how much it costs to have a yacht management company organise all of your paperwork, the Sealogical monthly fee is a great deal.
