Rexroth and Yacht Controller combine forces

Rexroth, the marine drive and control technology specialist, has collaborated with Yacht Controller to produce a reliable interface for its Marex OS II remote control system, which now features an added docking function, and the Yacht Controller wireless remote.

The move follows market feedback requesting remote operation capabilities for the piloting of a vessel. The new interface provides a reliable connection and is recognised by the control system as an additional station.

The Yacht Controller can access the gearbox via the interface and it can be activated with an existing trolling valve whilst coupling occurs with the pre-adjusted slack.
 
In the event of power failure or a serious error signal from the Yacht Controller, a separate signalling line ensures the activation of other control stations for the transfer of command. Yacht Controller has also expanded its remote controller to include two radio channels, thus further increasing the reliability of radio transmission.
