Raymarine announces FUSION-Link support to provide on-screen audio control

Raymarine, a key player in the marine electronics industry, has announced the imminent arrival of FUSION-Link support for the latest Raymarine multi-function displays (MFDs).

Designed to provide on-screen control of a FUSION 700 Series stereo over an Ethernet network, FUSION-Link-enabled Raymarine displays will allow users full access to iPod and iPhone music libraries via track, artist, album and playlist. Available as a dedicated function on Raymarine a, c and e series, FUSION-Link additionally allows users to navigate other stereo sources including AM/FM, VHF, USB and AUX. Users can adjust the individual audio zones of a vessel separately or together via multi-zone audio configuration, including control of volume, bass, mid-range and treble levels.

“Raymarine are excited to be working with Fusion Electronics to provide a seamless integration between stereo and marine navigation,” commented Raymarine Director of Product Management Chris Jones. “Combined with smartphone and tablet wireless control, Raymarine is now adding even more flexibility to the fingertips of our customers.”

FUSION-Link is scheduled for release in January 2013, and for Raymarine a, c and e series will be enabled via a free software update.
