FL-Products yacht coatings used on three superyachts

In November 2011 FL-Products launched three yacht coatings, and in the six months following its launch it has become a popular choice for yachts.

The first of the three coatings is FL-Yacht Titanium, a product which has been marketed with yacht designers in mind. The coating is plain and smooth without having the metallic look of many other equivalents.

This coating has been used on the deck of Classen Jachtbouw’s Hoek-designed 35m F-Class sailing yacht Firefly, whose hull was built by Bloemsma Aluminiumbouw. FL-Yacht Titanium has also been used on Wally’s 40m sailing yacht Angel’s Share, and MMGI Shipyard’s 44m motoryacht Blade (previously known as H2ome), currently undergoing a refit at Monaco Marine.


The second coating, FL-Yacht Diamond Gloss, is thermally resistant up to 400°c, is UV-resistant, highly scratch resistant and self-repairing. FL-Yacht Diamond Gloss is also used on Firefly.



The third product, previously named FL-Yacht Ultra Silicium, has been renamed FL-Yacht Diamond Gloss Ultra. Though not current used on any yachts, Marc Schulz, chief executive officer of FL-Products, told SuperyachtNews.com: “There is no other material like Diamond Gloss ultra on the market. There is nothing comparable to it.”

Schulz said both the Diamond Gloss products have “so many beautiful things to give."
