MPT's Amy Morley-Beavers passes away

The principal of the training school for superyacht and commercial crew very sadly passed away on 5 November, 2016.…

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Amy Morley-Beavers, principal of Fort Lauderdale crew training centre Maritime Professional Training (MPT), on Saturday 5 November, 2016.

A statement on the training centre's Facebook page stated:

It is with the heaviest and saddest of hearts that we share with all of you that our beloved principal Amy Morley-Beavers has passed away. To everyone who knew her, she will be remembered as the bravest, smartest, passionate, most wonderful person. Her smile will be with us always and she will be missed forever... by all of us at MPT, by MERPAC, by Coast Guard agencies around the world, by the countless mariners and friends whose lives she touched. She was an inspiration to us all. She left this world Saturday, November 5, 2016, surrounded by her family and love.

The Superyacht Group, like so many others in the industry, has worked closely with Amy and is incredibly saddened at this news, just as we know everyone she ever worked with will be. Our thoughts are with Amy's family, friends and colleagues at this very difficult time.

MPT has requested queries pertaining to memorial services go to Lisa Morley, either by calling (001) 954 525 1014 or emailing Lisa@MPTusa.com.
