Issue 78 of The Crew Report is out now and on its way to crew around the world, in time for the summer season.

The brand new issue delves into detail on the topics we know are in discussion in the crew mess. Namely, the problems faced by crew working in departments where they are the minority sex, as well as how today’s exchange rates affect how much crew take home each month. We also address the growing problem of mistrust between crew and training schools, and ask your three favourite training schools (as voted by you) to justify their position in the industry.

We speak to captains and their peers about how they build and maintain a strong team on board and look at the value to the industry if imposing land-based HR practices on board, while one captain shares his opinion on why he thinks crew have forgotten the etiquette of yachting

There’s a lot more in this issue, including how one superyacht and its crew has become the official innovation partner of one of the industry’s toy manufacturers, the future of 3D printing for engineers and chefs, the statistics surrounding medical illnesses on board and our chairman’s vision of owners with two superyacht crews, to name just a few more features you’ll find.
