Increasingly superyacht owners and guests are demanding seamless connectivity on board and speeds that are comparable to domestic broadband services. As such the demand on the superyacht satellite communications market has never been greater.

Following the widely commended 2018 Inmarsat Superyacht Connectivity Report, Inmarsat is conducting another research project in conjunction with Superyacht Intelligence, to form the basis of a 2019 Superyacht Connectivity Report. The 2019 report will be an extensive study in to the usage, demands and procurement of on-board connectivity across the superyacht fleet.

As part of the research project, Superyacht Intelligence is asking captains and crewmembers to complete a short survey about their connectivity needs on board, including questions regarding how the yacht and all those on board connect to the internet and for what reasons.

The survey should take no longer than six minutes to complete and, as always, any feedback will remain entirely anonymous and confidential. As a small gesture of thanks, we are awarding twelve random participants a £25 Amazon gift card, and for crewmembers who complete the survey, you will also be entitled to a free one-year VIP subscription to The Superyacht Report.
