Call for fundraising for Palma yachtie

Gareth Pullen, a well known IT specialist who's known to help out the growing Palma superyacht industry, on board and ashore, with its IT issues, has been diagnosed with a brain tumour, and the superyacht industry is working to raise money for the important operation.…

Gareth Pullen is well known in the Palma superyacht scene, so when news got out that he had been tragically diagnosed with a brain tumour that required an operation costing some €24,000, Pullmen set up a fundraising website to try and raise the costs, which he currently cannot afford due to being out of work for some time because of his illness.

On the website, Pullmen announces: "Unfortunately, with my continuing issues and gradual cognitive decline over the past few years, I’ve not been earning much at all and am in no position to be able to afford this, hence the fundraiser. So I please ask that if you can, please do donate whatever you can afford, even if it’s just a tiny amount or maybe what you would spend on a Friday or Saturday night out drinking! If you are not in a position to donate, I would really appreciate a 'share' and just send me some positive thoughts and energy."

Since setting up the website, superyacht crew have been giving generously, but Pullmen is still a long way off his goal. If you would like to donate, you can visit the fundraising website here

And for those of you around in Palma, this coming Saturday 8th October, Palma's Corner Bar will be matching all donations made on the night.
