Trend Marine completes construction of new facility
Trend Marine has completed the 18-month expansion of its glass production facility. The new Sag Bent Chemically-Toughened Glass Production facility can accommodate Trend's increased involvement in the superyacht market.…
In recent years Trend has targeted the superyacht market as a primary revenue-generator and the reward has been clients including Westport, Horizon, Gulf Craft, Princess, Lazzara and Palmer Johnson.
This global expansion has been reflected by 50 per cent year-on-year growth since 2009, enabling the company to develop a Sag Bent Chemically-Toughened Glass Production Facility and a new inventory of machinery.
"Trend Marine Products are fully committed to increasing our presence in the superyacht sector”, commented Frank Buckley, Trend Marine’s Managing Director. “We have focused our business development activities on this very demanding market, with a high level of success. Our Engineering Team are currently designing new glazing products and solutions that are being sought by superyacht owners, designers and yards. Superyacht glass supply contracts with some of the most prestigious yards are becoming an increasingly important element of our business mix”, he continued.
Trend Marine’s Fire Safety Glass has been successfully approved to the demanding A60 rating by the International Maritime Organisation. Designed for Zone 1 applications, this regularly specified solution has now been added to the Trend Marine superyacht portfolio.
