Telemar completes 'Americanisation' of Prima Donna

The Marine Electronics manufacturer, Telemar has completed the “Americanisation’ of the 39m, Prima Donna, the first Chinese superyacht to be delivered to the US.

“This clearly demonstrates Telemar Yachting’s global capabilities and the substantial cost savings to the builder by being able to use our local Chinese office,” said Telemar Yachting Americas’ Manager, Mark Theissen, “Not only was Telemar directly involved from the start in the initial build in China and then through her sea-trials, but now we complete the global seamless service by customising her for the unique electronics requirements of her new base in the USA.”

“No one else but Telemar Yachting could have pulled this off, I tip my hat to Andy Gifford and Mark Theissen,” said Captain Doug Hoogs of IAG Yachts (Americas), “I know of no one else, and certainly not in South Florida, who has that same comprehensive capability of having all the skills that really are in house without having to call in so-called ‘partners’.”
