The Yacht Report Group becomes The Superyacht Group

Today sees the launch of The Superyacht Group, the new name for The Yacht Report Group.  The change is indicative of the company's focus on the large-yacht market and synchronises its ever expanding and changing portfolio, with each product and service now firmly targeting the superyacht market.…

The Superyacht Group, previously The Yacht Report Group, launches under its new name today. The announcement comes in advance of its official launch at the Monaco Yacht Show on Wednesday 21 September 2011 at the superyacht breakfast briefing.

The name has been chosen to better reflect the niche focus of the company on yachts over 30 metres, which are classified as superyachts by the company’s definition. It also points to several changes that have taken place within the group over the past year, each highlighting the company’s dedication to the superyacht market.

Martin Redmayne, Chairman of The Superyacht Group said:

“With the yacht show season upon us it is vital to deliver a clear message to the market with our improved and dynamic portfolio. The first stage of this transition is renaming our group in order to encompass our absolute niche focus: everything we deliver, produce or provide is focused on superyachts. The Superyacht Group is the strategic name that ensures anyone who comes across our portfolio knows that we are exclusively focused on the large yacht market.”

The launch of The Superyacht Group comes in the wake of several exciting changes for the company making 2011 a year of rapid and remarkable transformation. In February, The Superyacht Report was launched as the new name for flagship monthly magazine, The Yacht Report, then in September 2011 this site was relaunched from Synfo.com as superyachtnews.com, featuring a dynamic design, increased user interactivity and a global team. Recent weeks have also seen the re launch of SuperyachtDesign as a soft cover title and the latest addition to The Superyacht Group’s portfolio, The Superyacht Owner. This five yearly magazine, dedicated to superyacht owners, will be given its official launch at the Monaco Yacht Show.

The logo remains the same, with each new title and transformed product categorised according to The Superyacht Group’s four areas of expertise: print, digital, art and events.

Looking to the future plans for the company and the significance of the name change, John Mitchell, Head of Digital Media at The Superyacht Group, said:

"While our current friends, audience and clients have and will always know where our focus is fixed, this allows us to continue to grow our range of new friends, audience and clients by telling them exactly what we specialise in. The coming months will see The Superyacht Group continue to evolve its products, so people can expect to hear more exciting news from us and new developments.”

The Superyacht Group will have its official launch at the Monaco Yacht Show at the superyacht breakfast briefing on Wednesday 21 September 2011. As numbers are limited, if you would like to join us, please contact info@SuperyachtEvents.com.

The Superyacht Group also welcomes visitors to its stand at Quai Etats–Unis
