Performance Yacht Painting (PYP) has acquired Hydrasud in La Ciotat, France. PYP, which specialises in superyacht and megayacht paintwork, will takeover Hydrasud activities including two sheds, one for painting and one for sanding, situated between Compositeworks and Monaco Marine.

The move is a result of increased work being undertaken for both of the aforementioned shipyards; it became necessary to create a base on site. Some of the projects undertaken so far include Heesen's 50m Sky at Monaco Marine and Inace's 30m Zulu.

This new strategy will see the company move further towards new build paintwork, as well as work on larger yachts.
