Struik & Hamerslag celebrated an incredible 50 years in the superyacht industry by staging a showcase event at its facility, and a party for over 1,000 guests in Puttershoek.
Company principal, Marco Struik, alongside MD Eric der Meij and business development manager Koen van der Well, welcomed guests throughout the day and celebrated with employees, suppliers and industry professionals, and all of their families.
'Family' is a concept that has been instilled into the Struik ethos throughout the company's history, and it is this warmth and honesty that has established it as the go-to interior outfitter of choice.
Struik & Hamerslag has preserved the unique methods and craftsmanship that produce interior fixtures of a superyacht standard, and these were on show at the company's open facility. From Finemarq's veneer processing and marquetry, to Liesbeth Bulk's pressed flora and fauna compositions, the sheer level of meticulousness, not to mention the number of man hours, invested in each piece provided further proof of why the company is the outfitter of choice for Europe's top yards.
After a presentation of a special plaque to Struik, who thanked his employees for making the Golden landmark possible, Van der Well told SuperyachtNews.com that the next chapter in the company's history will involve targeting the Western Mediterranean's pockets of refit expertise to complement it's new build activity.
