Second Yachtique Styling Lounge opens

Last Thursday saw the official opening of a stunning new second Yachtique Styling Lounge in Viareggio. The two storey emporium has been specifically constructed to display all of the latest materials, fixtures and fittings to create the ultimate superyacht interior. The Styling Lounge has been fitted out with elegant storage cupboards, created by expert craftsmen from the Benetti shipyard. Each cupboard is full of fabric samples, leathers, woods, mosaics, tiles and marbles from the world’s top designers and craftsmen. It has been designed as a one-stop-shop for yacht owners to review, compare and select the finest materials on offer. This new design showroom will be dedicated to the clients of Benetti.

The Yachtique Styling Lounge is the world’s first ever venue where a yacht owner or buyer can plan, select and review every single aspect of their yacht’s exterior styling, interior design, fittings, furnishings and accessories. A high-tech projection system allows clients to view 3D renderings of the interior and exterior of their yacht. It then provides the design consultants with the option to change any of the furniture, materials, colours or lighting. In real time, clients purchasing a new yacht or planning a comprehensive refit can immediately review their personal design options, viewed from multiple angles in the virtual reality model projected on to the wall.

The showroom is finished in high-gloss lacquered zebrano wood with cream leather furniture and smoked glass screens. Its classic elegance is in contrast to the already existing Styling Lounge, located just 50 metres away, which has a slightly more contemporary feel, and is used almost exclusively by clients of Azmut.

“Our aim was to create the optimum environment where yacht buyers can immerse themselves in the creative process of interior design and styling. There are separate areas for laying out plans, reviewing samples, viewing renderings on large screens, working and relaxing” says Giulia Galanti, the manager overseeing both showrooms. She adds, “We can satisfy a myriad different tastes and preferences to piece together interiors that are an accurate reflection of the buyers’ character and personal style”.
