OneOcean Port Vell appoints sales director
Nizar Taji joins the marina as interest in berth sales peaks…
Having received augmented berth sales interest following the recent sale of a 160m berth, OneOcean Port Vell in Barcelona has announced that Nizar Taji will join as sales director.
Before joining OneOcean, Taji worked with Benetti shipyard, managed Porto Montenegro berth sales and sold superyachts for Ocean Independence in Monaco. He has also successfully sold numerous pre-owned yachts and managed new construction projects.
“I am delighted that Nizar Taji has joined the team at OneOcean Port Vell,” comments Paul Cook, general manager of OneOcean Port Vell. “Taji is well placed to address the surge in recent demand after the 160m berth sale.”
Cook attributes the latest success to the increasing need for large yachts to find a secure and safe space in the Mediterranean, as well as the location’s investment potential and opportunity to entertain guests in the area, and he hopes Taji will build on this momentum.
“Using first-hand experience and knowledge from the superyacht industry, Taji will focus on client relationships; maximising recent leads and fulfilling owner’s needs,” he says. “He is an ambassador of OneOcean Port Vell.”
Cook adds that OneOcean is still in contact with a few more clients seriously looking into buying long lease berths in the marina. "People seem to have a fresher perspective about buying berths," he explains. "Particularly coming from the larger yachts where there is limited capacity in the Med. We have seen this coming."
