oc3an.com announces cable distribution agreement

oc3an.com have signed an exclusive agreement with The Sumcab Group to distribute their marine class approved cable in Spain.

The electrical, automation and cable e-commerce site, which launched early this year, enables sole traders such as chief engineers and contractors to purchase class approved equipment.

Sumcab is an established cable manufacturer and supplier with outlets and distributors worldwide.

“Being able to access (Sumcab’s) cable through a specialist ecommerce website is very good news for us,’’ commented an engineer who chose to remain anonymous.

‘’This is fantastic news for the industry in the Balearics as this marine class compliant cable is available with tinned copper, which is superior as it is more resistant to the corrosion of the marine ambient. It is typically used for installations, such as cabling of a mast. This type of cable is much preferred for installations on yachts, however, it is notoriously hard to find,” they concluded.
