Marine-diesel generators manufacturer Northern Lights, Inc. (NLI) has received a certification for following the requirements for producing quality management systems (QMS) to improve commercial performance.

The ISO 9001:2008 certificate was awarded to NLI's Seattle production facility by the auditors of Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance (LRQA) and is a globally recognised standard of effective QMS.

Quality management is focused on improving the products and customer’s services and the means of achieving this through the management of a company’s structures, procedures, processes and resources.

“The QMS and ISO certification will help NLI to operate in a cost-efficient and customer-focused manner,” said NLI’s sales and marketing manager, Colin Puckett.

In following the ISO 9001:2008 requirements, NLI demonstrate that their products and services continue meet customer and regulatory requirements.
