New tender site lets users browse, buy and sell

A new website offering a range of tenders to buy, as well offering a service for owners to sell their tenders, has launched. Superyachttenders.net positions itself as the answer to a ‘lack of an existing service within the industry’.

Superyachttenders.net lists quality yacht tenders and sports boats according to logical search criteria, such as ‘new’, ‘used’ and according to length and price. The company also provides the option for owners to sell existing tenders they do not want, or no longer have need of.

“The problem with tenders is that they will get left on board for numerous years and it’s not cost effective – a five or six year old tender is harder to sell, as yachts want a new one with less hours on them,” said the site's founder, Nigel Upton.

Upton is passionate about the site as a completely new proposition for the yacht market:

“There is no other company that offers yacht tenders like we are doing. No one is promoting tenders in a marketplace scenario - you have manufacturers promoting their own boats, but no one yacht tender site.”

The site has several partners to enhance the service given to users, including EYOS tenders. The latter, which focuses on bespoke tender projects, will be brought in for all new yacht tender builds and advisory services should they be required. Equally, clients from EYOS wanting to sell assets may be referred to superyachttenders.net

The site is not a simplification of the process of buying a tender, but offers a solution for buyers wanting to have a wide range of choice from an impartial source plugged into the world of tenders:

"There's obviously more intricacies than clicking the button; the sea trial and inspection but as the initial step, it’s an interesting opportunity for people to see what's available,” said Upton.

“We list unique offerings you won’t find anywhere else,” he added.
