Rob Humphreys has released images of his latest project, the Tempus Class, a commission from the owner of Arkin Pruva Yachts to resurrect one of the J-Class designs. The yacht has been designed to uphold the specifications of the of the current J-Class Association rules and stay true to the hull design of one of the eleven designs officially available for development. However, while the final concept has remained true in many ways to the original captivating design of this classic style of yacht, Humphrey's has been careful not to be too rigid in his reinvention, developing the Tempus to be a modern classic that will look like the old J-Class, but function like a modern superyacht.

According to Humphreys, research on this project revealed that sticking too closely to the pure J-class design would compromise its ability to be a high-performance cruising yacht in today's demanding superyacht world. Humphreys describes the resulting concept as "closely resembling its forebears but developed in a number of ways to make it more applicable to modern lifestyle."
