Marine Travelift appoints new president

Marine Travelift has announced the promotion of Erich Pfeifer to President and Chief Operating Officer beginning August 10, 2011.  Erich Pfeifer is succeeding the company’s President and CEO of the past eight years, Steve Pfeifer.   Steve Pfeifer will remain Marine Travelift’s CEO and will continue to serve the company in a strategic and advisory role.
 
Erich Pfeifer joined Marine Travelift in 2003 as Sales Manager and was subsequently promoted to Sales Director of the Americas and, subsequently, Vice President of Business Development and Marketing.

Marine Travelift is responsible for the construction of the world's largest boat hoist, the 1000C, which is capable of lifting vessels of up to 1000 tonnes.
