Marina Barcelona 92 enters into joint acquisition of marina

Qatari Diar Marina Tarragona (QDMT), a subsidiary of Qatari Diar Real Estate Investment Company, has announced the purchase of Port Tarraco Marina in a joint venture with Marina Barcelona 92.

Port Tarraco Marina, located in the north east of Spain offers deep water berthing (6m draft) for yachts up to 160m. It is also positioned in close proximity to other major cruising destinations in the western Mediterranean and a large-capacity airfield.

Mohammed bin Ali Al Hedfa, Group CEO of Qatari Diar, said of the news: “We are thrilled to be investing in the western Mediterranean’s marina industry, one of the most mature in the world. With our international experience and the expertise of our world-class partners, MB92, we expect Port Tarraco Marina to become one of the top year-round marina destinations for yachts in Europe and the Mediterranean.”
