One of the most successful superyacht designers working today, Dubois Naval Architects currently has numerous projects recently launched and in build around the world.
The studio has been busy, most notably with the spectacular 101m sloop project for a repeat client featuring 18 crew cabins, a 2,000 tonne displacement and 125m mast. Among its many projects in build the studio has two 46m motoryacht projects in build at Feadship de Vries, a 37.5m project in build at Fitzroy Yachts as well as a smaller series sailing yacht for Southerly and designs for the powerboat builder Windy. The 49m Encore is nearing completion at Alloy Yachts and a 46m is in build at Vitters. 50m Ohana from Fitzroy recently launched, as has the second Oyster 100, Penelope, from RMK in Turkey.
Dubois also say they have a 31.3m in design that they are about to sign with a builder.
McKeon has been business partners with Ed Dubois since he joined the company in 1981, and his naval architecture acumen has been called upon in some of the most spectacular designs the firm is best known for.
In a statement, Dubois said, “He leaves with our greatest thanks for the past and all best wishes and support for the future. We look forward to keeping a close friendship with Malcolm as he moves into the next stages of his highly successful career.”
