IGY appoints director of operations at flagship marina

IGY Marinas  has announced the appointment of Charlie Irons as director of operations for its flagship marina, Yacht Haven Grande, St. Thomas in the Virgin Islands.

Irons joins the Caribbean marina with solid experience in managing top level luxury destinations in the hospitality industry. His previous positions include at Soho House, Hyatt and Starwood, across destinations spanning New York to Mexico. His skill sets will map the next steps for Yacht Haven Grande St. Thomas including development of tenant services, cruise ship customer growth and hotel development.

“With 21 years of experience managing five star establishments, and given the upscale nature of Yacht Haven and its collection of luxury level retailers and dining establishments, Irons is the ideal candidate to run the property”, said Kenny Jones, executive vice president of operations for IGY.



Yacht Haven Grande is a waterfront property with over 130,000 square feet of luxury office and commercial retail space nestled within Charlotte Amalie, a popular seaside destination and busy cruise-ship port. 

Yacht Haven Grande’s 46 berth superyacht marina caters for berthing and servicing of superyachts over 183m.
