Helix makes history as first Feadship to tour Asia

For the first time in its esteemed history, Feadship will take a brand-new superyacht on a three stop tour to Asia this spring.

The world renowned yard will be taking 45m Helix on a tour covering the three main hubs of interest for superyachts in Asia. Helix will first reach Hong Kong in March, then she'll make her appearance at Hainan Rendezvous in early April and finally, at the Singapore boat show at the end of April.

“Feadships are seen as the benchmark for the entire superyacht industry and we are convinced that the time is right to personally introduce UHNWIs in China with the ultimate yachting lifestyle,” said Feadship director Dick van Lent, who, along with other Feadhsip managers will be accompanying Helix on her Asian tour.

The decision to take Helix, who made her boat show debut at Monaco last year, to Asia shows the seriousness of Feadship’s commitment to branding and doing business in this emerging market. Whilst its client base is largely the US – more than half of the 250 superyachts launched have been for US clients  – the time is seen as right to start a new chapter in its history in Asia.



Helix will showcase the ‘timeless design’ and fine detailing that are her hallmarks. Invited guests and potential clients will be given a personal tour of her interior that synthesises light-fabric-covered walls in mahogany wooden frames with contrasting materials and elegant furniture. Uniquely for her size, Helix has four suites and a master stateroom all situated on the main deck, meaning each guest enjoys 'phenomenal' views from their cabins. She also has extensive outdoor entertainment and dining options, reflecting her ‘beach house on the water’ philosophy.

“Helix is an exceptionally refined superyacht that is sure to hold her value,” said Van Lent.

“Feadship representatives have visited the Far East on a number of occasions and we have built several Feadships for owners from this region. But to now have the opportunity to present a brand-new Feadship to a dedicated Chinese audience is a landmark moment and there is a sense of history being made,” Van Lent continued.

Helix will be on tour in Asia from 18 March through 29 April: The yacht will be staying at the Gold Coast Marina in Hong Kong from March 18 to 31. She will then head for the third Hainan Rendezvous, which is being held at the Visun Royal Yacht Club from April 5 to 8. The yacht will also attend the Singapore yacht show from April 27 to 29.
