Heesen Yachts has announced the sale of Project Ventura, the third vessel in the 50m all-aluminium class from the Dutch yard.

Project Ventura, hull YN 16050, has a hard-chine hull, which was created in consultation with Van Oossanen Associates, by Heesen’s in-house naval architects and  has a range of 3.200nm at 12 knots and a top speed of 23 knots. The vessel’s clean lines were designed by Frank Laupman from Omega Architects.

Italian designer Francesco Paszkowski, working with the owner, created the interior, which has a minimalist approach and is based on the contrast between the texture and colour of polished ebony, which is being used for the parquet flooring and furniture surfaces, and whitened oak, which is being used for the panelling.

Project Ventura has six cabins for 12 guests, including an additional cabin for the owner’s private staff. Two of the cabins are master staterooms: one with a circular bedroom leading out to the upper deck, and the other a full-beam cabin on the main deck.

YN 16050 is due for delivery in Spring 2013 following sea trials in the North Sea. She was the fourth contract signed by Heesen in 2011.
