Limassol marina appoints general manager ahead of launch

Camper & Nicholsons Marinas and F&S Marinas have announced the appointment of Paul Sorrell as general manager of Limassol marina, Cyprus. The appointment is illustrative of activity ramping up in advance of the marina's launch by the end of 2012.

When complete, Limassol Marina will provide facilities and services of the 'highest standard'. It will have capacity for yachts up to 115m, with 70 berths reserved for superyachts out of its total 650 berths.

Sorrell comes to Limassol with a background in marina management in UAE marinas. His recent positions include marina manager for Aldar Marinas at Al Bandar Marina, Abu Dhabi and  harbour master at Dubai Marina Yacht Club.

James Beaver, C&N Marinas Chief Operating Officer said, "Paul's broad knowledge of all sectors of the market from recreational, commercial and superyacht technical support needs, as well as retail and dry stack operations is perfectly suited for our vision of the new Limassol Marina due to open later this year."
