French marinas added to MDL’s free berth scheme

The agreement with French operator Sagemor, expands MDL's 'Freedom berthing network.' It permits annual berth holders to gain free nights' berthing at 70 marinas across Europe.…

Free berthing nights at an additional twenty superyacht marinas will be available to MDL Marinas' annual berth holders following the company’s agreement with a French operator.

European marinas operator, MDL, signed the agreement in February at the London Boat show with Sagemor, a French marina operator, to give access to free nights berthing at its marinas on the North-West coast of France. Active from 1st April, the 'Passeport Escales' scheme will permit MDL annual berthing holders to stay free nights at marinas including Morlaix, Port La Vie, Port Medoc and Rochefort.

“We have been working hard to expand our European marina portfolio and we are delighted to have signed a deal with Sagemor,” said Dean Smith, marketing director at MDL Marinas.

“The private marina operator has a collection of wonderful marinas to explore in some beautiful and interesting areas of France, from Granville on the Normandy Coast right round to Port Médoc in the Gironde.”

The arrangement expands MDL’s Freedom Berthing Network, which will grow to 70 marinas in the UK, France, Spain and Italy. It works as a reciprocal programme where berth holders check out of their marinas and choose another marina to stay at from the network.
