Ferruccio Luppi, CEO of the Azimut Benetti Group, will also now serve as CEO of Azimut Yachts, taking over from Paolo Casani who is leaving the company to pursue other professional opportunities. Azimut Yachts is the division of the company dedicated to the production of yachts from 10m to 37m. Luppi will also continue to act as CEO of the Azimut Benetti Group.
The shipyard has informed SuperyachtNews.com that the decision was made by Luppi who, following Casani's resignation, decided that he would prefer to directly take on the role for a better and quicker understanding of the business and industry. At this time, the shipyard does not know how long Luppi will keep this additional role.
"I would like to thank Paolo Casani for his expertise and professional commitment in meeting the challenges of recent years," stated Paolo Vitelli, president of the Azimut Benetti Group. "I am referring in particular to the launch and development of Yachtique, the group division dedicated to boat owner services, as well as the major reorganisation of Azimut Yachts. We wish him all the best in his future endeavours."
