Emirates Palace Marina awarded five gold anchors

The Abu Dhabi marina was given the highest award in the TYHA gold anchor scheme.…

Emirates Palace Marina, Abu Dhabi, has been awarded Five Gold Anchors from The Yacht Harbour Association (TYHA).

“I am proud of our achievements at Emirates Palace Mmarina, and look forward to adding a few more ART Marine Marinas to the list of recipients of this prestigious industry recognition,” commented Bruno Meier, general manager of ART Marine Marinas, which manages the marina.

Captain Toby Haws, marina manager, added: “The role of Emirates Palace marina is not just to exceed the expectation of our berth holders and visitors, but also to set the standard for yachting in the region."

"This is why we aligned ourselves with the Gold Anchor program, as it is now the global benchmark to achieve. Assessing facility, customer service and environmental responsibility, it looks at all areas a modern marina operator must perform in," he concluded.

Set in the grounds of Emirates Palace hotel, the 167 berth marina (max LOA 140 metres) prides itself on offering services expected of a five star hotel. These include onboard dining, butler service, laundry and ‘valet’ yacht docking.

TYHA assessor, Mieke Vleugels, said: “Staying at Emirates Palace marina is like catching a glimpse from a fairytale world.

“The marina combines exclusivity with a personal approach that will have any berth holder or visitor feeling welcome.”

TYHA Gold Anchor marinas shows a marina has met industry standards. Five gold anchors is the highest rating possible and denote more facilities and a greater focus on customer services.
