Elite Yacht Linen has been appointed as Mattson’s supplier to the superyacht industry. The agreement will see quality mattresses added to its catalogue of table linen, bed linen, luxury towels and throws and for Mattson’s, a Swedish company largely focused on supplying mattresses to the hotel sector, it is a new step into the world of superyachts.
‘‘The move is the yachting industry in Palma was a natural progression to an otherwise untapped market for us,” said Tomas Mattson, MD of Mattson’s.
“Making yacht mattresses will be easily achieved for us, as Mattson’s have been supplying hotel chains for many decades and can turn round orders faster than most main steam suppliers. The first order through Elite Yacht Linen was for pocket sprung mattresses shaped to template for MY Lady Moura and has been very well received.’’
Based in STP shipyard in Palma, Elite Yacht Linen will now be able to offer a range of Elite Mattresses to accommodate crew to master cabin in addition to ‘made to measure’ linen to the superyachting industry.
‘‘As the business has grown annually and there is an increasing demand for a wide product range, it is the perfect time to introduce the mattresses as we sell everything else for the beds. We are very happy to align ourselves with Mattson’s as the brand and quality of the mattresses fits perfectly with our image and product client needs,’’ said Alexandra Swindells, director of Elite.
