CMC Marine, the Italian stabiliser systems supplier, is for the first time exploring new markets as a result of a consistent period of growth. Starting with its participation in the 2016 Eurasia Boat Show in Istanbul, CMC Marine has now set its sights on the Dubai Boat Show, running 1-5 March, and the Middle Eastern markets represented therein.

“The participation in the Dubai Boat Show is part of our international development programme,” explains Federico Fiocchini, the CMC Marine sales and marketing manager. The programme has a particularly strong focus on Dubai. “Many of the shipyards in Dubai have already chosen to install our systems on board and we believe that our presence there will be a positive signal for them as well.”

CMC Marine will be joined at the Dubai Boat Show by BTS Marin, a company that is now responsible for CMC’s consulting, sales and aftersales services in Turkey and the Middle East. Based on positive net growth and encouraging consumer feedback the two companies are aiming to make direct contact with local shipyards and owners.

“A strong focus on customers, plus the ability to follow up immediately to any kind of request is key to our strategy,” continues Fiocchini. “At the same time, we are looking forward to expanding into a new market that has already, on several occasions, shown interest in our products.”

As CMC’s first lucrative foreign market, Turkey has become central to the Italian company’s growth ambitions. However, the aforementioned ambitions are not restricted in their scope and Fiocchini sees Northern Europe, as well as the Middle East, as the next big target.
