Braemar SA, shipping, offshore energy and insurance industries services provider, is investing in its yacht services team with a key new appointment. Stefano Scarpa, will join the marine consultants and surveyors on Braemar's technical team from fifteen years' experience in the superyacht industry.

Scarpa is to build and promote the existing Yacht Services arm of the company traditionally focused on the surveying of hull and machinery on commercial vessels.

Most recently at Burgess, where he was senior consultant and project manager, he has also held positions at Royale Oceanic as project manager and completed an MBA at Warwick university in the UK this year.

“Alongside our traditional services Braemar SA has a well-established global yacht surveying and consultancy capability,” said Nigel Clark, MD at Braemar SA.

Braemar SA is a multi-disciplinary marine surveying and technical consultancy with offices all over the world. Incorporating The Salvage Association it provides warranty services, marine casualty investigations, surveys and litigation support for the cargo, offshore energy, construction, liability and hull & machinery insurance markets.
