Dykstra & Partners have announced that they have signed off on Dream Symphony, a 141-metre sailing yacht, with Turkish yard Dream Ship Victory (DSV) and Ken Freivokh Design. Once built, she will be the largest sailing yacht ever constructed.

After an initial concept was presented at the Monaco Yacht Show on the Dykstra & Partners stand, the contracts were signed between Valeriy G. Stepanenko, owner of DSV and responsible for the project, Gerard Dijkstra and Thys Nikkels on behalf of Dykstra & Partners, and Ken Freivokh.

According to Dykstra & Partners, building is scheduled to commence in 2011 and the schooner will be constructed entirely out of wood. DSV have worked with Dykstra & Partners and Ken Freivokh Design in the past, and specialise in large scale, all wood yachts.

The Turkish yard has three sailing yachts in build: Mikhail Vorontsov, a 65-metre currently being fitted out in Holland, the 55-metre Princess Maria and the 42-metre Imagination.
