Monaco Marine La Ciotat facility enjoys surge in activity

Monaco Marine's La Ciotat facility has reported a surge in activity as we enter the winter refit season. With three refits completed since September and 16 ongoing projects,  activity has been greater than anticipated.…

With the winter refit season well underway, Monaco Marine La Ciotat is enjoying high occupancy and even higher levels of activity than expected for this time of year, as it works to complete 16 projects.

Since September of this year, the superyacht-refit specialist has already delivered three major projects: ISA's 47m motoryacht 360, ISA's 63m motoryacht Kolaha and Benetti's 47m motoryacht Zita.

The latter came to La Ciotat for an express yard period to improve her stabilisation system, with the integration of zero-speed technology. Zita's captain, Captain Stanley BenngArd, praised the short time-frame within the refit work was completed. "We had a particularly short time-frame for these works and Monaco Marine rose to this challenge successfully," explained Captain BenngArd. "They were quick to respond, professional throughout the project and within the set budget - all qualities we look for in a service shipyard."

The shipyard is currently working on an impressive 16 refit projects, from complete paint jobs, interior refits and mechanical works, to stabilisation and regulatory inspections. Superyachts on La Ciotat's work list include:
