At the Global Superyacht Forum 2013, Victor Muller, owner of M/Y The Highlander, revealed to the audience how he sold some of his most prized possessions to become a superyacht owner, but doesn't regret a thing. The Superyacht Owner shares what he said.

"I sold a few of my spectacular classic cars to buy The Highlander. It was the silliest decision of all time because I sold a 250MM Ferrari to buy it.
The Ferrari is now worth probably $50m, and The Highlander is not. So it was pretty stupid. However, I don’t regret the decision for a second because I created something.
There is always something happening on board a yacht. There is always a new experience. That’s what it’s all about. That’s why I’m not regretting the decision to buy the yacht and let the Ferrari go.
I think, if you can get more people to understand this privileged way of life properly, more people would get into yachting."
