During the 2015 Monaco Yacht Show, you will see The Superyacht Group team all wearing black and gold, and I'm sure some of you may wonder why?

Essentially we recognise two key things: firstly, that Monaco Yacht Show is the biggest show in the market for serious customers (owners, potential owners, their advisors and UHNWIs who have done their research and want to learn more), and secondly, that we as a market need to engage these customers with a serious and intelligent media channel directed specifically at them and not full of irrelevant "stuff".

So for Monaco Yacht Show 2015, our strategy and absolute focus for this show is simple: to present our customer-focused portfolio to the key decision makers. As a result everything about The Superyacht Group during this years show will be about owners and buyers. The team will all be presented under The Superyacht Owner brand and we will be introducing our exciting new sister project and sales portal: SuperyachtBuyer.
To give you a flavour of our strategy for next week we will be doing four key things:

  • On Tuesday evening the editors of The Superyacht Owner will be hosting a private and exclusive, off-the-record dinner for 20 superyacht owners to discuss ownership, the market and what they want from the media. Plus we will be exploring the world of buying yachts, as we explain our vision and mission of the new SuperyachtBuyer portfolio.
  • On Wednesday our editors of The Superyacht Owner will start engaging with the market. We will also be introducing two new editors to the market: Tim Thomas, who will add some serious technical insight for those owners who are passionate about innovation, technology and interesting ideas, and Dominique Afacan, the new editor of The Supeyacht Owner who will be taking the helm from Angie Audretsch at the end of the month, bringing a fresh and dynamic energy from the world of wealth and luxury business media.
  • Also on Wednesday we will open the doors at 0930 to The Superyacht Owner's VIP Lounge at Restaurant Virage, where for three days we will host late breakfasts, lunch and provide a cool private meeting hub for industry VIPs and owners or their advisors. The Lounge will also play host for the first time to three nights of fun and frivolity with a South Pacific Rugby World Cup Party, a SuperyachtDESIGNERS Supper Club and a Captain's Caribbean Night.
  • With a team all decked in black and gold, The Superyacht Owner bags, our black and gold stand and our exclusive hats (modelled by Angie and Dominique above), we are going to be focused on engaging and building journalistic content exclusively for owners and potential owners. If you are an owner and would like one of our limited edition hats, stop by our Stand QE9 and sign up for our Owner portfolio.

Our market needs to look after existing owners and nurture new owners and we have chosen the 2015 Monaco Yacht Show to map out and present our enhanced strategy and focus for The Superyacht Group.

We look forward to seeing you all next week.
