Nautical Structures’ Rick Thomas has made a significant contribution to what is a new era for The Superyacht Group’s reporting of news. Two days before the opening of the 23rd Monaco Yacht Show, Thomas is the first in the industry to utilise the ‘Send an Image’ feature on the new Superyacht News app, available to download here. This image, which is accompanied by the ‘Send a Story’ function, allows industry professionals to submit news and updates from the front line.
Thomas took this photo of 31.5m Black Pearl, originally built by Diverse Projects and launched at the end of 2010, on 20 September. She was undergoing refit work at Bahia Mar, where Nautical Structures installed a new deck crane system. According to Thomas this new system provided Black Pearl with “enhanced load capacity and performance.” “We completed the refit as Roscioli’s just a little over a week ago, and the vessel leaves in a few days for Granada”, he explained.
SuperyachtNews.com hopes Thomas’ is the first of many first-hand accounts it publishes in the coming months.
