Superyacht Fleet Overview and Launches in January 2013

It has been a busy start to the year, and there is lots to report in our first fleet round up for 2013, including the launches of 80m Chopi Chopi and 40m State of Grace and the delivery of Lady Sura.


Alchemist Too - Sanlorenzo launched their seventh SD122, 38m Alchemist Too, built for a Mexican owner. Read more here.

Chopi Chopi - CRN celebrated the launch of the largest yacht built in its 50 year history on Saturday in Ancona, Turkey, with the launch of 80m CRN 129 Chopi Chopi. Read more here.

Majesty 135/02
- Gulf Craft launched their second Majesty 135 - their largest superyacht model - from their UAE facility, amid a rebound in luxury consumption in the region. Read more here.

State of Grace - The Perini Navi Group got 2013 off to a good start with the launching of 40m 'State of Grace' (C.2180), the first yacht in their new 40m fast cruising series. Read more here.

Tango 5 - In one of the final launches of 2012, Horizon Yachts launched 35m 'Tango 5', a new Horizon 115 expedition motoryacht, at the end of December. The yacht is undergoing two months of sea trials before handover to her new owner in March. Read more here.

Twilight - Oyster Marine launched their first Oyster Flybridge 125, Twilight, from RMK Marine in Turkey. Read more here.

New Orders

50m Heesen - Heesen ended 2012 with the announcement of the sale of a 50m fully custom motoryacht, hull YN 17530. The yacht was the fourth sold by the yard in 2012. Read more here.


Lady Sura - Trinity Yachts has delivered 50m Lady Sura to her owner, following the yacht’s successful sea trials. Read more here.

Maidelle - Dutch builder ICON Yachts announced the delivery of their flagship yacht, 62.5m Maidelle to her owner. Read more here.

- The Rodriguez Group has announced the delivery of Italyachts 34m Phoenician to her owner in Cannes. Read more here.

Venus – 78m Venus, built for Steve Jobs, has been delivered and is under the control of the Jobs family. Read more here. 


Stoneface – The 1978-launched, 32.8m Jack Hargrave designed motoryacht, left the Front Street yard in pristine condition on 31 December 2012, after arriving several months earlier for major repair work. Read more here.
