Superyacht 'Suerte' on the market

The 69.3m motoryacht, Suerte, has been listed for sale with Kevin Merrigan of Northrop & Johnson and Michel Karsenti of Yacht-Ology. She is on the market for an asking price of €59.9 million.

In 2015, Suerte was launched to high acclaim by up-and-coming Italian shipyard Tankoa Yachts, at its facility in Genova, Italy. She was constructed with a steel hull and an aluminium superstructure, featuring the architectural work of Vincenzo Ruggiero. At 1,457 gross tons she has significant interior capacity, equivalent to that of three 45m – 50m superyachts.

The exterior styling was completed by renowned Italian designer Francesco Paszkowski, whilst the interior was a collaborative effort with Margherita Casprini. There is accommodation for 12 guests over six staterooms on board. On the bridge deck is a penthouse-like master stateroom with 180-degree views, a study, an en-suite bathroom, a private deck and a Jacuzzi. On the main deck there are five additional staterooms, comprising two convertible staterooms, two double staterooms and a VIP suite.

Other features of note are the touch-and-go helipad that converts into a dancefloor, a steam room/Hammam and an elevator-accessed crow’s nest. The lower decks have a beach club with a bar and a sea-level spa.

As shown in The Superyacht Intelligence Annual Report 2016, Italy is the number-one superyacht building nation in the world, having delivered 30.1 per cent of the global fleet to-date. However, 92.8 per cent of (30m+) Italian-built motoryachts are between 30m – 60m in size – most commonly built from a production line or semi-custom platform – and Italy only holds a 17.7 per cent share of the fleet above 60m, so there is significant opportunity for Tankoa Yachts to tap into the larger Italian yacht building segment.

Currently, the yard has two projects under construction: 49.9m Tankoa S501 is due for delivery in 2017 and 70m Tankoa S701 is due for delivery this year.

Suerte will be on display at the Monaco Yacht Show in late September.
