With Monaco taking precedence in September for most yards, few launches took place. Big news was the number of orders announced in September, including two 100m+ projects from Benetti, 112m Project Palo Alto from Lürssen.
Launches
Rock.It - Feadship has launched 60.35m ROCK.IT (Hull 687). Built for an owner with many years' charter experience, ROCK-IT features design work by Sinot Yacht Design and the Feadship team. Read more here.
New Orders
100m+ Benettis - Benetti has confirmed the sale of not one, but two 100m+ superyacht projects. The new orders trump Benetti's biggest order to date, 90m FB256, which is on schedule to launch in 2015. Read more here.
87m GYD026 - Gresham Yacht Design has announced an 87m new build contract, to be built by Yachtley Shipyard in Izmut, Turkey. Read more here.
Hull 1012 - New Zealand shipyard Yachting Developments has signed a new order for a 33.5m performance cruising sloop. Designed by Frers Naval Architecture and with an interior by Adam Lay Studi, the yacht will deliver in 2016. Read more here.
M50 - Mondo Marine has announced the sale of their 50m semi-displacement project M50, to be delivered in the first part of 2016. Read more here.
Matica - Moonen Yachts has announced an order for a 30m Matica, a raised pilothouse design from its Caribbean series. Read more here.
MM33 - Vitters has signed a new superyacht order for a 33m carbon fibre sloop designed by Malcolm McKeon Yacht Design with an interior by Design Unlimited. Built for an experienced owner, project MM33 will deliver in Spring 2016. Read more here.
Project Palo Alto - Moran Yacht & Ship is to renew its hugely successful partnership with Lürssen and Andrew Winch on an 112m new build, Project Palo Alto. Read more here.
Rainbow II - Holland Jachtbouw has laid the keel for their new build 50m schooner Rainbow II. Designed by Dykstra Naval Architects, the yacht is being built for the owner of 40m Rainbow. Read more here.
