Viareggio Super Yachts’ (VSY) Stella Maris has been sold, with Burgess representing the seller and SuperyachtsMonaco introducing the buyer. Set to be one of the biggest and most eagerly anticipated central agency listings at the Monaco Yacht Show this year, the 72.1m vessel has been taken off the market for a final asking price of €75 million, one week prior to the event and within three months of her original listing.

With a gross tonnage of 2,114, Stella Maris is VSY’s largest build to date and was launched by the Italian yard in February 2013, yet is being delivered as a 2015 registered vessel. As one of the smallest yachts to have obtained a fully HCA-certified commercial heli-deck, there has been remarkably minimal compromise on external spaces.

The light-filled, contemporary interior by Michela Reverberi is embellished with rare woods, natural stones and high quality fabrics. Coupled with the striking exterior profiling of Espen Oeino, Stella Maris is held in high esteem by the design world.

She is fitted with twin Caterpillar 3516B engines that allow a 17-knot maximum speed and she can obtain a range of 6,500nm at 10 knots offering no limitations for long-range cruising.

She is the first 70m+ sale in 2015 and has the highest final asking price/selling price for a re-sale since Derecktor’s Aquila (then known as ‘Cakewalk’), which was sold in December last year for €119 million.
