M/Y ‘Seagull of Cayman’ leased with an option to purchase

The 1980 classic M/Y Seagull of Cayman has been leased to third party with an option to purchase after a three-year period…

M/Y Seagull of Cayman, the 1980 Feadship Koninklijke De Vries classic build, has been leased by Bruce Leffers at Northrop & Johnson to third party with an option to purchase after a three-year period.

At the time of writing, the 40m canoe-stern superyacht was being delivered to her new owner in Genoa. The 35 year-old yacht has been well looked after by a knowledgeable owner and crew, and underwent a full refit in 2006.

Despite the upgrade, the salon has retained its original rich wooden finish, which was styled by Robin Rose and offers accommodation for up to 12 guests in over six staterooms.

In February, when the asking price was approximately $2.75 million, Seagull of Cayman was donated to The International Seakeepers Society, an environmental charity that promotes oceanographic research, conservation and education in the yachting community.
