The Overmarine group has announced the sale the 11th hull of the Mangusta 165 series, making it one of the most successful Overmarine models of all time. At 49.9m she is also the largest model in the current range, which was first unveiled at the Monaco Yacht show in 2007.

Since then, Overmarine has continuously enhanced the model to ensure that she is equipped with the latest technology – represented in the project name Mangusta 165 E, the ‘E’ stands for ‘Evolution’and features the most recent style and technical innovations.

The Mangusta 165 E includes a number of new aesthetics, such as increased window area and an extended flybridge with a redesigned aft section, giving the yacht a more dynamic look.

New MTU 16V 2000 M94 engines have been installed, these are significantly lighter than the 4000 series, used on the previous 165 models. The benefits are an improvement on efficiency and performance, with fuel consumption said to be 35 per cent less at 20 and 30 knots.

Overmarine has delivered 89 yachts in total since the Italian shipyard entered into the 30m plus market in 1996. There are now 7 superyachts under construction at the facility with LOAs ranging between 33.8 – 49.9m.

Overmarine will deliver the Mangusta 165 E at the beginning of 2017.
